For a few years now, the legislation relating to the identification of equidaes has developed.
You will find below, the synoptic summaries of the Ministry of Agriculture in France concerning:

• identification generalized of all equidaes (french) (obligatory since 1st January 2003)
  
  
• installation of microchip on equidaes (french) (gradually being introduced and soon obligatory)
